We provide a swift, complimentary, and dependable home delivery service for each order to the majority of UK postcodes. Our courteous and prompt delivery personnel will bring your purchase to the front of your property within 7 - 10 working days. All items are delivered in flat-packed form, facilitating convenient transportation from the delivery point to the construction site.
You will receive a text message on the morning of your delivery providing a 2-hour window, between 7am and 7pm, for your delivery slot. Our drivers will deliver your garden building to the kerbside, and you do not need to be present to receive it! Just leave a signed note inside your door, visible to our drivers, granting permission to leave the order in your absence.

Step 1
When you have purchased a Mercia garden building with installation you will receive a confirmation email along with our helpful installation guide and questionnaire.
Step 2
Our guide gives you all the information you need to prepare your site for the installation and build a suitable base for your garden building.
Step 3
Then it's time to let us know your base is ready! We will ask for photo evidence of your base and access to the site, to ensure the installation process runs smoothly. We will also arrange your delivery and install slots at this time.
Step 4
On delivery day we will text you details of your two hour arrival window with a link to our portal so you can see when your driver will be with you.
Step 5
On installation day our team will call in the morning with a rough ETA, install your building to a professional standard, and clean up afterwards, leaving you to enjoy your new building!
Ensuring a smooth installation process for your garden building hinges on having optimal access to your site and ensuring the site itself meets certain criteria. To fulfill our minimum requirements, we necessitate:
1. Unimpeded access to the site - installations may be hindered if access is challenging or circuitous.
2. A level site - easily determined with a spirit level.
3. A clearance of at least 60cm (2ft) surrounding the site.
4. A base constructed to specifications, matching or exceeding the shed's footprint and featuring square corners.
Once your garden area meets these criteria, a member of our delivery team will reach out to coordinate delivery and installation dates.
Once you've confirmed that your site and shed base meet our standards, simply give our team a call to secure your delivery and installation slots. We always strive to deliver your shed 48 hours prior to installation. This allows you ample time to inspect your purchase thoroughly and ensure your complete satisfaction before our team begins erecting it for you.
On the day of delivery, you'll receive a text specifying a two-hour window for the arrival of your purchase. This text will include a link to our tracking system, enabling you to monitor the shed's location and expected arrival time.
For the installation day, our teams of installers operate between 7am and 7pm to complete the job within one or two days, depending on the chosen building. We'll provide a rough estimated time of arrival (ETA) in the morning via phone call. If you won't be available all day, no problem! We can often finish the installation without supervision—just ensure you've filled out the appropriate section of the questionnaire sent to you upon purchasing your installation.

The quality is actually better than I expected for the price, I was a little concerned after reading reviews for the same product on another site mostly regarding the overlap strips warping and having big gaps but it looks absolutely fine. The only downside is that the wood appears to be untreated as it states in the instructions you need to use a wood preservative prior to assembly so you should allow time for this. The panels are on a frame with members at 16" spacing so I think if it's on a solid level base and treated and looked after properly there should be no such issues. You will need to drill holes and put screws in. But in the end a wanted a reasonable quality shed at a low price and I'm happy with my purchase.
Lovely summerhouse, bought after taking down a Shire Wendy House we bought for the children almost 30 years ago, this was still in good condition and I’m going to make some flower troughs out of thewood as it’s still so good!
Excellent addition to our small garden, delivery driver went above and beyond what he had to. The installation instructions could have been a bit clearer but if you have any DIY skills you’ll manage no problem. Overall the structure is really good, made very well, just a few annoying bits I had to deal with, the caps for the handrails were split with knots so I had to replace and the roofing felt was different colours between the main building and veranda extension. Other than the above, we’re really pleased with our Summer House and looking forward to spending time in it.
The Houghton was fairly easy to build,It looks great now finished. Shire were excellent at after sales service, sending me some glass that had a chipped corner on original delivery. Their drivers were all helpful. Would recommend no problem.
Assembled the shed single-handedly without too much difficulty although attaching the last roof panel would have been easier with some assistance. Instructions were mainly pictorial and most of the time were easy to follow although some components looked identical but had subtle differences which were important to recognise. These were usually highlighted in the diagrams by a circle pointing to the difference, ignore these at your peril. The shed was attached to the block-paving base by screws but some rain has run in so will have to seal it somehow. There has been no other leakage and considering it's a big metal drum, heavy rain didn't make much noise. Attached some wooden batons to the frame for shelves and it caused no problems.
Very pleased, fast delivery after being let down by a different retailer. Assembly simple, clear instructions. Great sturdy shed.
There’s nothing to dislike about this shed my husband put it up on his own in about 12 hours between 2 days and everyone who sees it comments about how good it looks absolutely great buy would definitely recommend

Patience is the key when assembling this product, all the holes matched up and I did it by myself (slow & steady) but it all came together. Thin surgery type gloves and an electric screwdriver are recommended when putting this shed together, otherwise the metal sheets will cut your hands like paper cuts. It comes in a sized reasonable box the metal sheets look flimsy but when assembled the shed is quite sturdy. its a shame none of the metal sheds come with a floor but I'm happy I've chosen this one over the many other sheds on here.
Really good quality and easy to assemble. I’m wanting to buy another soon because the Mrs claimed it.
